I have a strange relationship with the exponential.

I’m worried about it, constantly. Yet, I’m currently working for a company, which in many ways is accelerating us all towards it.

I love that rapid progress in AI has allowed me to learn and do so much, in so little time. I hate that this golden era of highly leveraged human software engineering may soon come to an end.

I embrace the exponential, but mostly as a pragmatic compromise to hopefully do what I can to make the race safer.
